- 祈求：请大慈大悲救苦救难广大灵感观世音菩萨保佑我 xxx（自己的名字），身体健康，吉祥平安……（一般祈求在三件事物以内）。
4. 双手合十磕头礼拜佛菩萨

备注
**念经时间：凌晨5点到半夜12点。**如果遇到重大关头，开刀前后，重病，癌症等，每天狂念大悲咒，遍数21，49或越多越好。之前可以祈求“请南无大慈大悲救苦救难广大灵感观世音菩萨摩诃萨医治我XXX某个部位的疾病，早日恢复健康。**念经若有干扰打断，建议直接重念。**《般若波罗蜜多心经》和《往生净土神咒》在晚上10点之前和阴雨天的白天可以念诵，但如果阴雨天太厉害，太黑或者倾盆大雨，雷电交加，就最好不要念。另外如果自己身体比较弱，念了不舒服的话就尽量在晴天的白天念。《礼佛大忏悔文》一般晚上10点至凌晨5点之间不要念诵。一般凌晨2点至5点之间最好不要念诵任何经文。更多详情请参考《心灵法门入门手册》或《玄学问答》/《佛学问答》。

放生的好处下载程序放生前
代家人放生最好用家人的钱。若用自己的钱为家人放生，需在放生前向大慈大悲观世音菩萨摩诃萨说：
请大慈大悲观世音菩萨慈悲原谅我 XXX (自己的名字) 将自己的钱 (多少) 给 YYY (对方的名), 这些钱算作他自己的钱。(家里有佛台则可在佛台前说)
放生的路上念经
去放生的路上就可以开始念经, 念《大悲咒》最佳, 念经前要说:
为自己放生 请大慈大悲的观世音菩萨保佑我 XXX (自己的名字) 消灾延寿 (或祈愿的事情), 我一定再做更多的功德。
代放生 请大慈大悲的观世音菩萨保佑 YYY (对方的名字) 消灾延寿 (或祈愿的事情) 。
接着再念《大悲咒》, 越多越好。
(一) 到达放生地点
感恩菩萨 (有佛台)
如果放生地点有佛台: 请先上香, 用油灯的火点燃香, 然后双手持香, 微举额前:
感恩南无大慈大悲救苦救难广大灵感观世音菩萨 (摩诃萨) (三称)
信女/善男/弟子 XXX (自己的名字) 在此向南无大慈大悲救苦救难广大灵感观世音菩萨摩诃萨和诸位佛菩萨请安。
然后将手中持有的香一起插入香炉 (如果多支香，无需分开插香)
感恩菩萨 (没有佛台)
在放生地点没有佛台的情况下, 双手合十对着天空三称:
感恩南无大慈大悲救苦救难广大灵感观世音菩萨 (摩诃萨) (三称)
(二) 念经
《千手千眼无碍大悲心陀罗尼》 1遍
《般若波罗蜜多心经》 1遍
《七佛灭罪真言》 7遍
( 有佛台的情况下直接在拜菩萨之后念经; 没有佛台的情况下, 感恩菩萨之后开始念经 )
不会念经的同修可以一直念圣号：南无大慈大悲观世音菩萨。
(三) 祈求
为自己放生
南无大慈大悲观世音菩萨, 我 XXX (自己的名字) 今天放生多少条鱼 (或者其他乌龟、虾等其他动物) , 请大慈大悲观世音菩萨保佑我 XXX 消灾延寿或者化解冤结、消除业障 (或者祈愿的其他事情), 我一定再做更多的功德。
(四) 放鱼入水前
放生前最好特别祈求菩萨说一句话:
如放生活动有秧（ying）种和污染问题, 请南无大慈大悲救苦救难广大灵感观世音菩萨摩诃萨与护法神原谅。”
注：这样祈求是为了避免由于水质或物种方面不适应而造成的一些问题，比如水质污染、所放的鱼类不适合在此水域生存，或者水域中存在大鱼会吃小鱼等物种不融合的情况。对于明确知道周边有严重捕捞、淡水鱼不宜放在海水中（海水鱼不宜放在淡水中）等类情况，理应事先避免，选择合适的放生地点，以确保放生活动的圆满和如法。
放鱼前再说一遍：
XXX (自己的名字) 或 YYY (对方的名字-代放生) 放生多少条鱼 (或虾或其他动物)。请大慈大悲的观世音菩萨摩诃萨保佑我 XXX (自己的名字) 或 YYY (对方的名字-代放生) 消灾延寿 (或祈愿的事情)。
(五) 把鱼放入水中
把鱼放到水中时, 要轻起轻落, 避免伤害到鱼。放生的过程中, 可以不停地念《大悲咒》、《心经》、《往生咒》遍数不限, 能多念点最好。
如果有鱼虾螃蟹等死亡, 要念《往生咒》超度; 一般

若鱼已经生命力不强或特殊情况下，应尽快先将鱼放生以避免鱼类死亡。可以放好后再补祈求和念经仪式。

1）念小房子之前必须将敬赠 ____________ 处写好 (自存小房子除外) (可以是某人的要经者, 亡人的名字, 某人的孩子或某人房子的要经者或某人化解冤结)
2）念小房子之前将 ____________ 赠处也一起写上 (念诵人的名字)
念小房子之前的祈求
南无大慈大悲救苦救难广大灵感观世音菩萨摩诃萨（三称）
祈请南无大慈大悲救苦救难广大灵感观世音菩萨摩诃萨帮助我XXX(自己的名字),能够将所念的小房子送给 ____________ (可以是某人的要经者，亡人的名字，某人的孩子或某人房子的要经者）
念小房子的方法
1) 9遍大悲咒

3) 3遍大悲咒 + 84遍往生咒

注: 总体的意思就是, 小房子宜以大悲咒开头, 以大悲咒结束; 中间每次念其他经文的时候, 再以大悲咒开头。上面的例子遍数分配不是唯一的。如果受时间地点等各种因素的限制, 无法如上安排, 也可以不必执著上述方法, 只要诚心认真念诵都是可以的。
点小房子的方法
1) 点小房子的时候必须使用红色的笔。
2) 点小房子的时候尽量点在圆圈的正中, 八分满。
3) 点完, 念完整张小房子之后把当天的日期写上。
烧小房子的方法
（家中有佛台）
1) 首先上香顶礼。
2) 感恩南无大慈大悲救苦救难广大灵感观世音菩萨摩诃萨 (三称)。
3) 将小房子微举过头顶，然后放在佛台上，接着跪求。
4) 祈请南无大慈大悲救苦救难广大灵感观世音菩萨摩诃萨帮助我 ____________ (自己的名)能够将这(**) 张小房子送给 ____________ (可以是某人的要经者，亡人的名字，某人的孩子或某人房子的要经者)。
5) 点燃小房子之前先说 “祈请大慈大悲观世音菩萨慈悲我”。
6) 接着点燃小房子 (由“敬赠”处点燃)。
7) 烧的过程不要多说话也不需要念经, 只说 “请大慈大悲观世音菩萨慈悲”。
8) 烧完后说: “拜谢南无大慈大悲观世音菩萨帮助我 XXX能够将这些小房子送给 YYY。感恩大慈大悲观世音菩萨保佑！”（一拜）同时可以说相应的祈求, 譬如: 如小房子敬赠 XXX 的要经者, 可请菩萨保佑XXX身体健康、平安吉祥; 如小房子敬赠XXX化解冤结, 可请菩萨保佑 XXX 和 YYY 化解恶缘。

4) 祈请南无大慈大悲救苦救难广大灵感观世音菩萨摩诃萨帮助我 ____________ (自己的名)能够将这(**) 张小房子送给 ____________ (可以是某人的要经者, 亡人的名字, 某人的孩子或某人房子的要经者)。
5) 点燃小房子之前先说 “祈请大慈大悲观世音菩萨摩诃萨慈悲我”。

小房子燃烧完毕
注: 小房子要燃烧彻底, 不能留下任何纸片。
注: 可以使用佛灯、火柴、打火机等点燃小房子。
4. 拜谢南无大慈大悲观世音菩萨 (摩诃萨)
烧完后说： 拜谢南无大慈大悲观世音菩萨 (摩诃萨)帮助我 __________ (自己的名字) 能够将 ( ) 张小房子送给 * __________ (小房子右侧敬赠)。
同时也可以说出相应的祈求, 如: 保佑自己健康平安, 或保佑自己与某某某化解冤结等等。
(请根据情况相应选择或不必祈求)

上头香礼佛程序 (个人佛台)

用油灯一次点燃所有的香，然后每个香炉3支香，香一定要竖着微举过眉头拜3次，3支香同时插入香炉不需要分开，香头不能对着菩萨。
双手持香举到额头上方默念：
“ 我 XXX (自己的名字）给南无释迦牟尼佛、大慈大悲的观世音菩萨、南京菩萨、太岁菩萨、关帝菩萨、周仓菩萨和关平菩萨请安！”
恭敬缓慢的插香（男左手插香，女右手插香），手势不要过大。
1. 用油灯一次点燃所有的香 (每个香炉3支香)
2. 香一定要竖着微举过眉头拜3次
3. 三支香同时插入 香炉不需要分开 (香头不能对着菩萨)

4. 许愿
如：“我 XXX (自己的名字）在此向大慈大悲的观世音菩萨许愿：
从今以后初一、十五吃素；从此不吃活的海鲜；从此不杀生；每天坚持做几件善事；在多少时间度多少人；做功德、捐款印书、法布施、财布施、无畏布施等。”
(愿力对每个修行者是非常重要的，许愿之后就一定要做到，因为自身人为的原因违愿，就会受到惩罚，所以许愿要量力而行。)
5. 祈求
(在合理合法范围内可诚心祈求三件事，不能贪。)
建议做比较有针对性的具体祈求，求菩萨解决你的困难、烦恼、大灾、小祸等，如:
“请大慈大悲观世音菩萨保佑我 XXX (自己的名字）能够找到适合我的工作”；“请大慈大悲观世音菩萨慈悲我 XXX (自己的名字）治疗胃病”，或者求自己身体健康、事业顺利、学佛精进等；不建议泛泛的求几个人，如：“求我们全家身体健康”。
( 许了愿再祈求比较灵，愿力越大、功德越大，求得越灵。)
6. 许愿祈求之后，不必站起来，再次连续每尊菩萨三叩首并感恩每尊菩萨，即磕头完毕。（如步骤3）
7. 站起来之后心存感恩，双手合掌礼拜一次或三次。
8. 上完头香后可以念经
如：消灾吉祥神咒、准提神咒、大悲咒、心经、礼佛大忏悔文等，遍数不限。
**可以上头香的大日子，佛菩萨很多，宜多做善事功德，多念经、放生、许愿。**

(一) 感恩菩萨
1. 所有的同修集合在观音堂，由一位或几位同修带领大家集体礼佛。

(二) 根据自身情况许愿与祈求
1. 许愿：不杀生、吃素、早晚香、度人、印经书、刻光盘（根据自己的愿力、条件许愿）。
【每个人的境界不同，需要量力而行，不宜要求所有人一定要按照某个愿力来发愿。】
2. 祈求：根据自身的情况说出合理的祈求，譬如身体健康、事业顺利、家庭和睦等。最多祈求 2-3 件事情，不能泛泛的求全家身体健康，要具体到个人的某个方面或 某件事情。
( 许了愿再祈求比较灵，愿力越大、功德越大，求得越灵。)
(三) 感恩菩萨并再次磕头跪拜
1. 许愿祈求完毕后，心存感恩，感恩诸位菩萨并再次磕头：
- 感恩南无释迦牟尼佛 (三称并三叩首)
- 感恩南无大慈大悲救苦救难广大灵感
观世音菩萨摩诃萨 (三称并三叩首) - 感恩南无南京菩萨 (一称并三叩首)

**集体跪拜礼佛之后，义工各自就位，每个人按照号码领香开始个人上头香。**
1.2 观音堂个人上香礼佛程序
1. 准备：着装庄重整洁，不能穿短裙、短裤、无袖上衣或拖鞋；漱口洗手，有条件最好能够沐浴更衣，不宜嬉闹攀谈，宜庄严肃穆；手机静音，保持安静；等待期间默默诵经。
2. 上香前请听从义工的指导，按发号秩序排队，分批给每人发一柱香，安静的来到佛台前用油灯火点香。
3. 双手持香举到额头上方默念：
“ 我 XXX (自己的名字）给南无释迦牟尼佛、大慈大悲的观世音菩萨、南京菩萨、太岁菩萨、关帝菩萨、周仓菩萨和关平菩萨请安！”
恭敬缓慢的插香（男左手插香，女右手插香），手势不要过大。
4. 退到拜垫前 (请勿跨过拜垫) 每尊菩萨三叩首:
- 感恩南无释迦牟尼佛 (三称并三叩首)
- 感恩南无大慈大悲救苦救难广大灵感
观世音菩萨摩诃萨 (三称并三叩首) - 感恩南无南京菩萨 (一称并三叩首)

5. 许愿
如：“我 XXX (自己的名字）在此向大慈大悲的观世音菩萨许愿：
从今以后初一、十五吃素；从此不吃活的海鲜；从此不杀生；每天坚持做几件善事；在多少时间度多少人；做功德、捐款印书、法布施、财布施、无畏布施等。”
(愿力对每个修行者是非常重要的，许愿之后就一定要做到，因为自身人为的原因违愿，就会受到惩罚，所以许愿要量力而行。)
6. 祈求
(在合理合法范围内可诚心祈求三件事，不能贪。)
建议做比较有针对性的具体祈求，求菩萨解决你的困难、烦恼、大灾、小祸等，如:
“请大慈大悲观世音菩萨保佑我 XXX (自己的名字）能够找到适合我的工作”；“请大慈大悲观世音菩萨慈悲我 XXX (自己的名字）治疗胃病”，或者求自己身体健康、事业顺利、学佛精进等；不建议泛泛的求几个人，如：“求我们全家身体健康”。
( 许了愿再祈求比较灵，愿力越大、功德越大，求得越灵。)
7. 许愿祈求之后，不必站起来，再次连续每尊菩萨三叩首并感恩每尊菩萨（如步骤4），即磕头完毕。
8. 站起来之后心存感恩，双手合掌礼拜一次或三次。
9. 上完头香后可以念经
如：消灾吉祥神咒、准提神咒、大悲咒、心经、礼佛大忏悔文等，遍数不限。
**可以上头香的大日子，佛菩萨很多，宜多做善事功德，多念经、放生、许愿。**

2. Light up incense sticks using the oil lamp
3. Hold the incense stick(s) with both hands and raise them before your forehead. Say your prayer quietly as follows:
“ I, Disciple <your full name>, express my deep/sincere gratitude to … Bodhisattva. ”
4. Hold the incense stick(s) with both hands and insert them into the incense burner.
Remarks:
If you are offering incense to several Buddhas and Bodhisattvas and holding several incense sticks in your hands, you may insert the incense stick(s) into each incense burner with one hand.
(If you have three incense sticks, you do not need to insert them separately.)
1. Put your palms together and make prostrations:
- My sincere gratitude to Namo Shakyamuni Buddha (Say 3 times, followed by 3 prostrations),
- My sincere gratitude to Namo the Greatly Merciful and Greatly Compassionate Guan Yin Bodhisattva (Mo He Sa) (Say 3 times, followed by 3 prostrations) ,

- When making vows: “ I, (Disciple), make a vow to the Greatly Merciful and Greatly Compassionate Guan Yin Bodhisattva to… (e.g. be a full vegetarian, etc.) ”
- When saying prayers: “ May the Greatly Merciful and Greatly Compassionate Guan Yin Bodhisattva (Mo He Sa) protect and bless me, , grant me good health, safety and good fortune, etc.”
(It is recommended that you make no more than three wishes.)
4. Put your palms together and make prostrations:

It is necessary to recite the following sutras/mantras daily as part of your Daily Recitation, starting with the Great Compassion Mantra . The order of reciting other sutras/mantras does not matter.

You may wish to add the following sutras/mantras to your Daily Recitations according to your situation. Nonetheless, it is strongly recommended that a beginner include Amitabha Pure Land Rebirth Mantra in Daily Recitations.

*If an interruption occurs while you are reciting, it is recommended that you start the sutra/mantra all over again.
*It is necessary to recite the full title every time you recite a sutra/mantra.
*You can recite sutras/mantras anytime between 5am and 12am. Avoid reciting between 2am and 5am.
*Avoid reciting the Eighty-Eight Buddhas Great Repentance between 10pm and 5am.
*In the event of critical illness, occurrence of cancer, or prior to surgery, recite the Great Compassion Mantra 21 or 49 times (the more the better) every day. Before reciting, say the prayer ” May the Greatly Merciful and Greatly Compassionate Guan Yin Bodhisattva treat <your full name’s illness regarding which part of your body>, and grant me good health”.
*The Heart Sutra and the Amitabha Pure Land Rebirth Mantra can be recited until 10pm in good weather. If it is a cloudy or rainy day, recite them only during the daytime. You should not recite them after 10pm, or during extreme weather, such as heavy rain, thunderstorms, or lightning. In addition, if you feel weak or uncomfortable when reciting these sutras and mantras, then recite them during the daytime on a sunny day.

It is best to use the money of the other party when performing life liberation on behalf of others.
When you use your own money to perform a life liberation on behalf of others, you can say the following prayer to Guan Yin Bodhisattva before you perform the life liberation:
Prayer: “May the Greatly Merciful and Greatly Compassionate Guan Yin Bodhisattva forgive me, XXX , I am now using my money to perform life liberation for YYY . Please regard this money as his/hers.” (You can say the prayer at your altar.)
Reciting while on your way to the release site
You can start reciting while on your way to the release site. It is advised to recite the Great Compassion Mantra.
Performing life liberation for oneself. Before you recite, you should state your full name: “May the Greatly Merciful and Greatly Compassionate Guan Yin Bodhisattva protect and bless me, , help me to eliminate disasters and extend my lifespan. I will continue accumulating more merits and virtues.”
If you are performing life liberation on behalf of others, you can say, “May the Greatly Merciful and Greatly Compassionate Guan Yin Bodhisattva protect and bless , help him/her to eliminate disasters and extend his/her lifespan.”
Then you can recite the Great Compassion Mantra, the more times the better.
(1) At the site of liberation
Paying respect (Altar at site of liberation)
Light up incense sticks using the oil lamp. Hold the incense stick(s) with both hands and raise them before your forehead. Say your prayer as follows:
“I express my sincere gratitude to the Greatly Merciful and Greatly Compassionate Guan Yin Bodhisattva (Mo He Sa)”. (3 times)
“I, Disciple , express my deep/sincere gratitude to the Greatly Merciful and Greatly Compassionate Guan Yin Bodhisattva (Mo He Sa) and Bodhisattvas. ”
Hold the incense stick(s) with both hands and insert them into the incense burner. (If you have three incense sticks, you do not need to insert them separately.)
Paying respect (without altar at site of liberation)
At the release site, put your palms together, face the sky and say the following prayer three times,
“I express my sincere gratitude to the Greatly Merciful and Greatly Compassionate Guan Yin Bodhisattva (Mo He Sa)”. (3 times)
(2) Performing recitation
《Great Compassion Mantra》 1 time
《Heart Sutra 》 1 time
《Qi Fo Mie Zui Zhen Yan》 7 times
( If the site of liberation with altar, recite scriptures after paying respects to the Bodhisattva ; as for site without altar, begin recitation after expressing gratitude to the Bodhisattva. )
Those who are not familiar with the recitation of Buddhist scriptures may recite the holy name of the Bodhisattva continuously: “The Greatly Merciful and Greatly Compassionate Guan Yin Bodhisattva”.
(3) Stating prayers
Performing life liberation for oneself
Prayer: “Namo the Greatly Merciful and Greatly Compassionate Guan Yin Bodhisattva, I, , am releasing of <fish, shrimp, or other creatures> today. May the Greatly Merciful and Greatly Compassionate Guan Yin Bodhisattva protect and bless me , help me to eliminate disasters, and extend my lifespan, (alternatively, you can pray to resolve karmic conflicts, eliminate karmic obstacles, or other wishes). I will continue accumulating more merits and virtues.”
(4) Before Performing life liberation
Before performing life liberations, it is advisable to make the following plea to the Bodhisattva:
“If there is an issue of pollution in the course of performing life liberation and if the fish released are freshly hatched, I beg for forgiveness from the Greatly Merciful and Greatly Compassionate Guan Yin Bodhisattva and Dharma Protectors.”
Note: This is to prevent problems caused by the water quality or the unsuitability of species, such as the water is polluted, the fish released are not fit to live in the area, or there are larger fish eating up smaller fish. If you are well aware of issues such as large-scale fishing activities in the area or that fresh water fish are not fit to be released into sea water or vice versa, you should take preventive measures in advance by looking for a suitable place for the life liberation. This is to ensure that the life liberation is successful and appropriate.
Before releasing the fish into the water, you may state the prayer again:
“ is releasing of <fish, shrimp, or other creatures>. May the Greatly Merciful and Greatly Compassionate Guan Yin Bodhisattva protect and bless me, (or ), help to eliminate disasters and extend the lifespan of .”
(5) Performing life liberation
While you are performing life liberation, you can also continuously recite the Great Compassion Mantra, the Heart Sutra, and the Amitabha Pure Land Rebirth Mantra as many times as you like. The more times the better.
Be gentle when you release the fish into the water so that it will not cause them any harm. When performing recitation, refrain from looking at the water. It is best to face the sky.
If any of the fish to be released die during the life liberation, you need to recite the Amitabha Pure Land Rebirth Mantra to help the spirits of the deceased creatures ascend to a higher spiritual realm. Generally, you need to recite the mantra seven times for each fish that dies.
Each fish 7 times
Each crab 7 times
Each prawn 3 times
If the fish are weak or in critical condition, they should be released immediately to prevent death. The prayer and scripture recitation rituals may be performed afterward.
(6) Expressing gratitude
When you finish performing life liberation, put your palms together and say the following:
“I express my deepest gratitude to the Greatly Merciful and Greatly Compassionate Guan Yin Bodhisattva (Mo He Sa)!”

Note: You should perform Daily Recitations as well. It is recommended that you start with the Great Compassion Mantra (Da Bei Zhou) so that you will have more energy before reciting other sutras, mantras, or Little Houses. The order of reciting other sutras and mantras in Daily Recitations or in Little Houses can be determined at your discretion.
1) Before reciting, write down the name of the recipient on the right-hand side under “Offer To “. The recipient can be your Karmic Creditor (write “Karmic Creditor of ”), an aborted or miscarried child (write “Child of ”), a deceased person (write “”), or a Karmic Creditor of the house (write “Karmic Creditor of the house of “). If you want to use Little Houses to resolve karmic conflicts with someone, then simply write ” resolves karmic conflicts”.
2) Write down the full name of the reciter on the left-hand side under “Offered By “.
Say the following prayer before reciting Little Houses
“Namo the Greatly Merciful and Greatly Compassionate Guan Yin Bodhisattva Mo He Sa” (3 times).
“May Namo the Greatly Merciful and Greatly Compassionate Guan Yin Bodhisattva Mo He Sa help me, , give this Little House that I am about to recite to (which can be ‘Karmic Creditor of ‘, ‘Child of ‘, ”, or ‘Karmic Creditor ofthe house of ‘).”
The following order of reciting Little Houses is highly recommended
1. Da Bei Zhou 9 times
2. Da Bei Zhou 3 times + Heart Sutra 49 times
3. Da Bei Zhou 3 times + Wang Sheng Zhou 84 times
4. Da Bei Zhou 3 times + Qi Fo Mie Zui Zhen Yan 87 times
5. Da Bei Zhou 9 times
Note: Essentially, Little House recitation starts and ends with Da Bei Zhou. Each of the component
sutras and mantras are also surrrounded by Da Bei Zhou. The above combination is not the only way to
do it, and it’s fine if you choose not to follow this method due to time constraints or other reasons. What
matters is the sincerity and effort that you put into reciting Little Houses.
How to correctly dot the circles?
1. Use a red pen or red marker to dot inside the circles; this is compulsory.
2. Ensure the dot is in the middle of the circle and takes up 80% of the circle.
3. After dotting, write down the date of completion on the lower left-hand side of the Little
House.
How to burn Little Houses
when you have a Buddhist altar at home
1. First, offer incense and pay respect to Guan Yin Bodhisattva.
2. Say the following 3 times: “I express my sincere gratitude to Namo the Greatly Merciful and Greatly Compassionate Guan Yin Bodhisattva Mo He Sa.”
3. Raise the Little Houses slightly above your forehead, and then place them on your altar. Kneel down and say the following prayer.
4. “May the Greatly Merciful and Greatly Compassionate Guan Yin Bodhisattva help me, , give these Little Houses to recipient> (which can be your Karmic Creditor, a deceased person, a Karmic Creditor of your house or an aborted or miscarried child).”
5. Before burning the Little Houses, say, “May the Greatly Merciful and Greatly Compassionate Guan Yin Bodhisattva have compassion on me.”
6. Burn the Little Houses, starting from its upper right-hand corner (that is, the “Offer To” side).
7. While burning the Little Houses, simply say, “May the Greatly Merciful and Greatly Compassionate Guan Yin Bodhisattva have compassion.” Do not recite
or say anything additional.
8. After burning the Little Houses, say, “I bow in gratitude to the Greatly Merciful and Greatly Compassionate Guan Yin Bodhisattva for helping me give these Little Houses to XXX. I express my sincere gratitude to the Greatly Merciful and Greatly Compassionate Guan Yin Bodhisattva for protection and blessing!” (with one prostration)
Additionally, you may say corresponding prayers. For example, if you give Little Houses to your Karmic Creditor, you could pray to Guan Yin Bodhisattva for good health, safety and good fortune. If you use Little Houses to resolve karmic conflicts with someone,
you could pray to Guan Yin Bodhisattva to help you resolve the negative karmic affinity between you and that person.
How to burn Little Houses
if you don't have a Buddhist altar at home
1. First, offer Heart Incense to Guan Yin Bodhisattva.
2. Say the following 3 times: “I express my sincere gratitude to Namo the Greatly Merciful and Greatly Compassionate Guan Yin Bodhisattva Mo He Sa.”
Then, recite the Great Compassion Mantra (Da Bei Zhou) once and the Heart Sutra (Xin Jing) once.
3. Raise the Little Houses slightly above your forehead. Visualise yourself kneeling down, then say the following prayer.
4. “May the Greatly Merciful and Greatly Compassionate Guan Yin Bodhisattva help me, , give these Little Houses to recipient> (which can be your Karmic Creditor, a deceased person, a Karmic Creditor of your house, or an aborted or miscarried child).”
5. Before burning the Little Houses, say, “May the Greatly Merciful and Greatly Compassionate Guan Yin Bodhisattva have compassion on me.”
6. Burn the Little Houses, starting from its upper right-hand corner (that is, the “Offer To ” side).
7. While burning Little Houses, simply say “May the Greatly Merciful and Greatly Compassionate Guan Yin Bodhisattva have compassion.” Do not recite or say anything additional.
8. After burning the Little Houses, say, “I bow in gratitude to the Greatly Merciful and Greatly Compassionate Guan Yin Bodhisattva for helping me give these Little Houses to XXX . 用油灯一次点燃所有的香，然后每个香炉3支香，香一定要竖着微举过眉头拜3次，3支香同时插入香炉不需要分开，香头不能对着菩萨。
双手持香举到额头上方默念：
“ 我 XXX (自己的名字）给南无释迦牟尼佛、大慈大悲的观世音菩萨、南京菩萨、太岁菩萨、关帝菩萨、周仓菩萨和关平菩萨请安！”
恭敬缓慢的插香（男左手插香，女右手插香），手势不要过大。
1. 用油灯一次点燃所有的香 (每个香炉3支香)
2. 香一定要竖着微举过眉头拜3次

4. 许愿
如：“我 XXX (自己的名字）在此向大慈大悲的观世音菩萨许愿：
从今以后初一、十五吃素；从此不吃活的海鲜；从此不杀生；每天坚持做几件善事；在多少时间度多少人；做功德、捐款印书、法布施、财布施、无畏布施等。”
(愿力对每个修行者是非常重要的，许愿之后就一定要做到，因为自身人为的原因违愿，就会受到惩罚，所以许愿要量力而行。)
5. 祈求
(在合理合法范围内可诚心祈求三件事，不能贪。)
建议做比较有针对性的具体祈求，求菩萨解决你的困难、烦恼、大灾、小祸等，如:
“请大慈大悲观世音菩萨保佑我 XXX (自己的名字）能够找到适合我的工作”；“请大慈大悲观世音菩萨慈悲我 XXX (自己的名字）治疗胃病”，或者求自己身体健康、事业顺利、学佛精进等；不建议泛泛的求几个人，如：“求我们全家身体健康”。
( 许了愿再祈求比较灵，愿力越大、功德越大，求得越灵。)
6. 许愿祈求之后，不必站起来，再次连续每尊菩萨三叩首并感恩每尊菩萨，即磕头完毕。（如步骤3）
7. 站起来之后心存感恩，双手合掌礼拜一次或三次。
8. 上完头香后可以念经
如：消灾吉祥神咒、准提神咒、大悲咒、心经、礼佛大忏悔文等，遍数不限。
**可以上头香的大日子，佛菩萨很多，宜多做善事功德，多念经、放生、许愿。**

(一) 感恩菩萨
1. 所有的同修集合在观音堂，由一位或几位同修带领大家集体礼佛。
2 点香
用油灯一次点燃所有的香，然后每个香炉3支香，香一定要竖着微举过眉头拜3次，3支香同时插入香炉不需要分开，香头不能对着菩萨。

2. 点大香（檀香木）3次
烧大香，就是在佛坛前点好佛灯，点好香，然后用佛灯的火燃烧檀香木，然后把火熄灭（不能用嘴吹），出来的烟就是大香，是菩萨的香味，可以反复做三次。

(二) 根据自身情况许愿与祈求
1. 许愿：不杀生、吃素、早晚香、度人、印经书、刻光盘（根据自己的愿力、条件许愿）。
【每个人的境界不同，需要量力而行，不宜要求所有人一定要按照某个愿力来发愿。】
2. 祈求：根据自身的情况说出合理的祈求，譬如身体健康、事业顺利、家庭和睦等。最多祈求 2-3 件事情，不能泛泛的求全家身体健康，要具体到个人的某个方面或 某件事情。
( 许了愿再祈求比较灵，愿力越大、功德越大，求得越灵。)
(三) 感恩菩萨并再次磕头跪拜
1. 许愿祈求完毕后，心存感恩，感恩诸位菩萨并再次磕头：
- 感恩南无释迦牟尼佛 (三称并三叩首)
- 感恩南无大慈大悲救苦救难广大灵感
观世音菩萨摩诃萨 (三称并三叩首) - 感恩南无南京菩萨 (一称并三叩首)
- 感恩南无太岁菩萨 (一称并三叩首)

**集体跪拜礼佛之后，义工各自就位，每个人按照号码领香开始个人上头香。**
1.2 观音堂个人上香礼佛程序
1. 准备：着装庄重整洁，不能穿短裙、短裤、无袖上衣或拖鞋；漱口洗手，有条件最好能够沐浴更衣，不宜嬉闹攀谈，宜庄严肃穆；手机静音，保持安静；等待期间默默诵经。
2. 上香前请听从义工的指导，按发号秩序排队，分批给每人发一柱香，安静的来到佛台前用油灯火点香。
3. 双手持香举到额头上方默念：
“ 我 XXX (自己的名字）给南无释迦牟尼佛、大慈大悲的观世音菩萨、南京菩萨、太岁菩萨、关帝菩萨、周仓菩萨和关平菩萨请安！”
恭敬缓慢的插香（男左手插香，女右手插香），手势不要过大。
4. 退到拜垫前 (请勿跨过拜垫) 每尊菩萨三叩首:
